We were parted on that cold February day
But yet I was left with so many things to say
Father was left by his best of friends, his wife
And we three kids lost the woman that gave us life
We know you didn't chose this and I know you didn't want to go
Family meant so much to you and we love you more than you know
You were a great woman, so kind and beautiful
Not just on the outside, beautiful also describes your soul
As much as I hate to admit it, your body has died
And looking down from Heaven, you know how much I've cried
Though this is all true, and you're not physically here
You're my guardian angel and you're always near
You walk beside me everyday and you look out for me
You're still my hero and I still talk to you when nobody else can see
I put flowers on your grave; it's no wonder which I chose
The flower that represents us; I'm your baby, little Jenna Rose
Only God knows why he tore us apart
But with me, you'll be forever in my heart
I'd do anything just to have you back
But there's this want that I'll never lack
That want isn't much, it's simply this:
And that's a goodbye and on your cheek, a kiss
I couldn't get to the hospital as fast as the blood clot got to your lung
and I suppose it's true, the good do die young
You were so loved, at your funeral there was a vast crowd
And looking down, mom, I hope I make you proud
This was God's plan, there's nothing we could do
I just wish I could have said goodbye and tell you that I love you...
